In March 2015, Mary began working with Able’s Senior Services and was enrolled within the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). While enrolled in SCSEP, Mary was supplied the opportunity to work with LAF as a Senior Ambassador providing outreach and schooling about authorized rights and providers offered to seniors. After only three months working as a Senior Ambassador, a position turned available for a full-time paralegal ombudsman at LAF’s Home and Community Ombudsman Project. Despite her short time in the program, Mary quickly demonstrated her abilities as an effi cient communicator and compassionate advocate. She applied for the position and was hired! According to LAF, Mary had a great interview, but what put her over the sting as a job candidate was the incredible Thank-You notice she despatched! It proved to LAF that Mary was very passionate about this place and would excel in it! Mary is grateful to Able for the alternatives provided to her by way of the SCSEP program! As a successful client, Mary offered some phrases of wisdom for other seniors looking to enter or reenter the workforce: “If you want to succeed, go in with the angle that National Able Network and the SCSEP program are designed to help you during your employment hunt; it’s to not pass the time away while supplementing your revenue.
